INNER LIGHT

WHY?

Inner Light or eugenic radiance is the basic resource needed  for accomplishment of anything.  Inner Light is needed to realize economic stability,   end racial and ethnic hatred wars,  terrorism ,  and other abuses in society, and to bring peace to a troubled world.

God’s light takes on the form of whatever image our mind is focused upon. If the attention is held on a particular form for a sufficient period of time, that form manifests in the physical outer world. Hold your image on financial difficulties , wars , conflicts, death and destruction, sex, limitation and suffering, and you will eventually experience those things in your life.

". . . for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light." (Lk:16:8) Hold your attention on peace, joy, happiness, or any desirable  image, and you will manifest the perfection of that in your life.

"Take heed therefore that the light which is in you be not darkness." (Lk:11:35

"The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up." (Mt:4:16;

Other references to inner Light

When the conscious connection with the Source of Light is limited or blocked, there can be little light inside people’s minds.  Therefore, it is sometimes impossible to find solutions to problems and difficult to discern or identify the real root causes for evil.  The assumption here is that there is spiritual warfare going on inside most, if not all, people everywhere.  This is where the “Battlefield of Consciousness” is to be found.

What is Peace?    BEING STILL AND PRESENT IN ABSOLUTE SILENCE

Peace is in essence being in a higher state of consciousness that transcends all those attributes, and yet bestows the benefits of those attributes on the one striving consciously to generate or at least experience more inner Light.

Do you think there will ever be peace in the world? What will it take to have peace? Consider this. It is written, He "has visited us to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." (Lk:1:79)  Peace is a direct result of having more light (inner light); more of the light of life.  "In him was life; and the life was the light of men." (Jn:1:4Quotes about peace.

Consider the idea that peace is a continuous process, not a destination. This is true for individuals as well as for entire nations. Peace is more than a belief, more than non-violence or the absence of armed conflicts, or commitment to non-aggression. It is more than having knowledge, wisdom and understanding.  Peace is more than demonstrating acts of kindness, or feelings of compassion, love, or willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Sometimes you have it, sometimes you lose it, and sometimes you might unwittingly give it away in a thoughtless fit of anger, impatience, or by some other inappropriate behavior. But with power centers that radiate light the world can be transformed, revitalized, and renewed.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. St Matt 5.9

Many, it is true, lament the fact that until now our hopes have been unfulfilled, and are prone to repeat the words of Jeremias: "We looked for peace and no good came; for a time of healing, and beheld fear" (Jer.viii., 15). But all such "men of little faith,"  make little or no effort to penetrate the works of God or to consider them in the light of truth.  Consider, for example, the dire warnings and prophesies given at Fatima, Portugal.

Who can number the gifts of grace which God has bestowed upon His people through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary regarded by masses of people for ages as the Immaculate Conception?

There are numerous indicators that suggest big changes are coming.

  • Multiple trends are converging – Huge, extraordinary, global trends, any number of which would be enough to derail our present way of life, are converging to precipitate a historic big transition event.  A partial list would include:

  • The global financial system is collapsing.  During the next 10 months, it appears that wave after wave of blows will strike the system , raising the very real possibility that it will experience large-scale failure sometime before the end of the year.

  • We have reached the beginning of the end of petroleum. Global production has been flat for the last three years.  Senior oil company executives are now saying that they will not be able to pump more.  Supply will likely begin to decrease significantly after we move across the peak.  Prices will increase again if the demand holds up.  This is important because our present way of life is built upon petroleum.

  • The global climate system is changing – some say it is getting much warmer, others now suggest a mini-ice age within the next decade.  In any case, probably increased irregularities in local climates will result with attendant problems in agriculture, natural disasters, and economies.

  • The cost of food is increasing rapidly as a result of global shortages not seen in 40-50 years.  This could be exacerbated by increasing energy costs and climate changes.

  • The effects of larger solar eruptions hitting the earth through a tear in the magnetosphere will disrupt global communications, weather, perhaps satellites, and even organic life over the next 3-4 years.

Problems are much larger than government – These kinds of problems are much greater than anything that contemporary governments have ever had to deal with before.  Peak oil, climate change, and the financial meltdown by themselves have the potential to significantly overwhelm the capabilities of government. If bureaucracies can’t deal with the aftermath of a natural disaster like Katrina, something ten or more times that damaging would leave most people fending for themselves.  If these extraordinary, disruptive events end up being concurrent, then the whole system is at risk.

The problems are structural – They’re systemic. Some of the issues, especially the financial, oil, and food problems are also a product of how we live, our priorities, and our paradigms.  We create the problems because of the way we think, and because of disregard for values and principles.

Getting Prepared

Mary is called the Immaculate Conception and holds the title Queen of Peace because she is a lady at peace and at peace with herself and with God. There are many papal encyclicals asking Mary to intercede on behalf of humankind for peace.

The Collection of Masses of the Blessed Virgin Mary (1990 English version) contains a Mass devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace. The Catholic Church has a special Mass, Missa Beata Maria Virgo Regina Pacis, which provides various reasons why the mother of Jesus is called, Queen of Peace. She is mother of the "Prince of Peace," Jesus who reconciles heaven and earth. She was standing at the foot of the cross where Jesus demonstrated peace for the whole world.  She is an intercessor with God for us to obtain the spirit of love and the gift of Light, what we call, the Peace Shield.

In 1917 Pope Benedict XV added the title "Queen of Peace" to the Litany of Loretto. The peace of the world was a special theme at Fatima, and again in Medjugorje. It had an impact on such movements as the Blue Army and various Rosary movements. This is one of the reasons why Our Lady of Peace is sometimes represented as Our Lady of Fatima or Our Lady of Medjugorje. Our Lady of Peace is patroness  of the United States and is also the patroness of El Salvadore  .

The Peacemakers Song

"Come all you peacemakers. Now is the time. . . . the peace ship is taking sail."

Peacekeepers and PeaceMakers

There is a big difference between being a peacekeeper and a peacemaker. A peacekeeper may have little inner light, and be in spiritual darkness. Such an individual might use any means including war, military force, and torture to prevent breakdown of law and order, control others, or prevent chaos, bloodshed and violence in given situations.

Peacemakers on the other hand literally bring more light into the world. A peacemaker has an invisible light. Peacemakers are capable of sharing their inner light with people they meet everyday and in every way, thereby serving to transform spiritual darkness that brings chaos and destruction.

When politicians, diplomats, and world leaders fail to find solutions to the age-old problems of war, terrorism, and evil, what options are available to them?  When the administration of a country encounters crises and misfortunes; when economic systems and financial institutions falter, or business organizations experience failures; or well-known personalities or religious leaders or leaders of a nations experience disgrace, the cause is always the same. When the consciousness connection with God, the ultimate Source of Light, is limited or blocked; progress in any field of human endeavor can be expected to be superficial and temporary.  The risk of failure in achieving worthy goals and objectives is high. An essential piece in the peace puzzle is missing.

Such developments are an indication that the connection with the real Power Source is weak, or is in some cases completely blocked.  When this connection is jeopardized, brains tend to become dull. Dis-stress arises in the family of nations, as individuals are unable to form the right judgments needed for effective policy-making.
